PROVIDENCE COLLEGE FRIARS!
Providence College Past-Times and Traditions:
Homecoming and Late Night Madness, Darty’s on Eaton Street, Dorm Parties, Freshman Wednesdays on Eaton, Thursday Night Bars, Club and Intramural Sports, McPhails, Hockey and Basketball Games, Last Chance Mass, and events on Slavin Lawn on a sunny day.
Providence College Campus Culture:
For over 100 years, PC students have experienced what it means to be a member of Friartown! PC students have a strong sense of community and enjoy the small campus feel. PC is the only college in the Nation operated by Dominican Friars. The Friars live on campus and are a big part of the students everyday lives. Mention the word “Civ” to any PC student or Alumni and they will know what you mean!
There is no Greek life on campus and that is just how the PC Friars like it. PC is not an “invite only” school, they enjoy when they all get together. Freshman and Sophomores are required to live on campus and while most juniors live on campus a large percentage of them study abroad during their junior year. Eaton Street is where you will find all of the senior/off campus housing.
